I grew up in Northern Virginia and moved around a few times in the same area. I don't remember there ever being a time I was not in love with Virginia's beautiful colors and rolling hills. The trees have my heart. Even if they make me a little claustrophobic at times. One of my favorite memories growing up was waking up at 5:30 am at the beach to watch the sun rise when I was a kid. I took pictures of it on my mom's iPhone and everyone told me that I should be a photographer. Fast forward a few years down the road to 2009. My dad decided to get into photography so I jumped right in there with him. We shared our little Canon Rebel for a few years. I remember often, after school, my best friend and I would have impromptu photoshoots of each other in our backyards. Fast forward to 2012 when my dad got me my first camera and since then, I've been attached to every camera I've owned.
My favorite part of my job is the relationships I build with every person I work with. I've been blessed to work with so many amazing couples and individuals throughout my career as a photographer, and it never gets old. At the end of the year, I always reflect at how my year went as a small business owner, and usually get a little teary-eyed thinking of all the amazing experiences I've shared with my clients.
In September of 2018, I married my forever love, Tyler, and I've never felt more blessed to love someone in my life. I was finally able to experience what my brides experience on their wedding days, and my gratitude for my job multiplied ten-fold.
I am currently Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. & Gilbert, Arizona. If you're located in either of those locations, let's chat about your special occasion! I travel back & forth between both places to meet the needs of my clients, and I am available for travel worldwide.
