Frequently Asked Questions
5. HOW FAST WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
You will receive all of your final images between 8-12 weeks after your wedding day unless previously noted otherwise. I spend as much time as I can on your images to make sure I am only sending you the best of the best! If for any reason I should take longer than 12 weeks to deliver your images to you, I will always let you know beforehand, and will definitely not leave you hanging (meaning I'll send you plenty of sneak peeks from the day so you're not left in the dark). I have never to date delivered a wedding later than 12 weeks. For non-wedding sessions, you will receive your final images between 2-3 weeks after your session.
6. HOW DO WE BOOK WITH YOU?
A signed contract and a 35% non-refundable retainer of the total service (for weddings). As soon as you're ready, I will prepare everything for you. I do contracts and invoices online to stay paperless and make the process as smooth and simple as possible. For non-wedding sessions (i.e. portraits, families, etc) I require a 50% non-refundable retainer at the time of booking and a signed contract to book your session. If a non-wedding session is included in your wedding package, there is no separate process for that.
7. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I'll be honest with you, I think this question, while frequently asked, is one of those silly questions that wedding blogs and magazines feed you that isn't always necessary to ask. I would hope that my work speaks for itself, but in the case that, after viewing my work you would still like for me to describe my style, I'll tell you that I'm a storyteller. The pictures that I take are timeless and tell a story, my picture style is light & airy. My shooting style allows me to capture every raw emotion on your wedding day and fit it all into a gallery (or an album) that tells the story of your love and is just a tiny chapter of your life. I put a great deal of effort into getting to know every couple and relationship to best capture one of the most important days of their lives.
8. WILL I GET A SNEAK PEEK BEFORE THE GALLERY IS DELIVERED?
A lot of times I will send over a sneak peek of 2-3 images from a session before I actually deliver the full gallery 2-3 weeks after the date the images were taken. I do not always send over sneak peeks within the first week because sometimes my schedule does not allow it. However, I try my best to always share a little something to keep clients excited to see how absolutely amazing they look in front of my camera.
1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?
I've been shooting DSLR since 2009 and I've been taking on clients since 2014, weddings since 2015. Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving a plethora of amazing individuals, families, couples, new parents and their newborns, and more and have developed amazing friendships with my clients in multiple states and countries.
2. DO WE OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE IMAGES?
I give written permission and a print release so that you can make unlimited copies and prints of your images. So long as you aren't selling your images, entering them in photo contests, or submitting them to vendors or blogs without me knowing or without my permission, they are yours!
3. HOW MANY IMAGES DO YOU DELIVER PER WEDDING?
I typically deliver 60 images per hour of coverage. How many final images you receive will depend on the length of your wedding and a few other variables. If your wedding is shorter and simple, you might receive less images than an extremely detailed & long wedding. If there is a second shooter, there will be more images.
4. HOW WILL YOU DELIVER OUR IMAGES?
You will receive all of your final images delivered to you in an online gallery with a print release, as previously mentioned. In your online gallery, you will be able to download the full (high) resolution files, as well as order professional prints through me.
9. WHAT DO YOU SHOOT WITH?
I shoot on my Canon 5D Mark IV my back-up cameras being a Canon 6D and a Canon 7D. The lenses I carry with me are the canon 24-70 mm f/2.8, the sigma 35 mm f/1.4 ART, the sigma 50 mm f/1.4 ART, the canon 85 mm f/1.8, & the canon 100 mm f/2.8 macro lens, and the canon 70-200 mm f/2.8. I shoot with battery grips on all of my cameras to extend battery life and have extra batteries on me at all times to ensure that I don't miss a single moment of your day. I also have a minimum of 10 extra memory cards in my camera bag that are readily available at any given moment. For poorly lit receptions/churches, I shoot with my Canon Speedlight 430 EX II (flash) and my Yongnuo YN560 IV Speedlight (also flash).
10. WHY DO YOU DO WHAT YOU DO?
The simple answer would be that I love it. The longer answer would be that it brings me so much joy being able to love and serve my clients by providing them with memories that will last forever. When the day is over and years down the road you put all of your wedding stuff in away, or your cap n' gown from your high school graduation, or whatever it may be, you'll still have the pictures, the memories, to last you a lifetime. My gratitude and love for being a wedding photographer is never ending.
